OnePlus/OxygenOS: 5GHz WiFi networks appear after 20 seconds compared to 2.4GHz

I have first noticed this issue when testing NLOS for my OnePlus 3.

After starting the WiFi on my phone, 2.4 GHz WiFi appear and connect in about 2-3 seconds, while 5GHz WiFi networks take 20-30 seconds until they appear.

The XDA user nvertigo67 discovered that the solution/workaround is to delete or comment out the line which contains

gInitialScanNoDFSChnl=1

from the file

/system/vendor/etc/wifi/WCNSS_qcom_cfg.ini

Here’s his solution: [ROM][SDCLANG-6][microg ready][OMS exPosures]NLOS-16.0] - 20220430 | Page 53 | XDA Forums.

Here’s how the commented line looks in Solid Explorer:

All i did was add a # in front of it.

I have found the same issue in Havoc-OS, and i reported it here: [ROM]-[23.07.20]-Havoc-OS-3.7-[10.0.0_r40]-[Official] | Page 464 | XDA Forums
